Things To Do

Murgon's CBD has undergone extensive beautification in recent years and is also the location of the Murgon Visitor Information Centre. We have four Wineries within 10 minutes of the Park where you can sample the beautiful South Burnett Wines on offer, enjoy a delicious lunch and make purchases from the Cellar Doors. The Dairy Museum is a must see and is only a five minute drive from us. You can also visit the Ration Shed Museum that takes you through the History of the Aboriginal Settlement in the area and is run by Traditional Elders, or why not visit our local Olive Plantation. You can enjoy freshwater fishing at Bjelke Petersen Dam, 10 minutes away, and Boondooma Dam, an hour away.

Browse the antique shops in nearby Goomeri or visit the town’s Pumpkin Festival held annually in May. There is also a Timber Museum, Heritage Museum and Art Gallery in nearby Wondai, and a lavender Farm in Kingaroy. If you are looking for something more active, have some fun kayaking, skiing or fishing in Barambah Creek or Bjelke Petersen Dam.
